DESCRIPTION:“Permaculture is a design system for the creation of socially\, economically and ecologically sustainable settlements” – Bill Mollison. \nDiscover more about the principles and practices of permaculture\, and how to apply them in your life\, in this intensive 2-day workshop with two of the South Coasts leading permaculturalists. \nThis Introduction to Permaculture workshop will: \n\nExplain and explore the history and the theories behind permaculture utilising David Holmgrens’ Permaculture Principles\nExplain and explore how to create abundance\, resilience\, and practical sustainability in your life no matter what your situation.\nBe useful to inform your choices no matter what your situation: rural property\, city dweller\, or anywhere in between.\nDevelop knowledge and skills\, increase your confidence\, and inspire you to use permaculture in your garden\, your home\, your life.\nDemonstrate the principles\, systems\, and techniques of permaculture\nFocus on practical implementation of permaculture with teachers who are living permaculture every day\, not just teaching it\n\nIncluded: \n\nDetailed workshop notes\nMorning tea\, lunch and afternoon tea on Saturday and Sunday\n\nBefore you book\, please consider: \n\nThe site is a working farm and visitors must participate in a safety briefing before the workshop.\nThe terrain at the farm is particularly steep and slippery in parts. Though the workshop will take place primarily within our accessible education space\, there is a possibility that participants will be required to walk across uneven or sloping ground. If you have mobility restrictions or any concerns about your ability to navigate the terrain\, please contact us before booking.\nPlants love rain and so do we! We don’t cancel workshops in wet weather unless there is a dangerous storm. Please come prepared for the weather.\nAllergen advice: Our farm is home to domestic animals as well as bees\, wasps\, and macadamia trees. Please pack an EpiPen if allergic and keep it with you while on site.\n\nAll workshop participants must: \n\nWear enclosed shoes or boots (no thongs or sandals) and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.
