DESCRIPTION:This is an apple picking experience! Apple picking is a perfect activity for everyone!  \nYou will be driven on the ‘Orchard Explorer’ tractor train and hear secrets of how to find and pick the best apples. There will be plenty of time to wander the rows and pick your own (while munching on some free from the tree!). When you’re finished picking you’ll hop back on the Orchard Explorer and head back to the farm shop ‘The Apple Shack’. Take your fruit home to eat fresh\, bake into a delicious pie\, make some jam or even better – share with your family and friends! \nThe experience is around 1.5 hours. Various time slots available. Pricing is $60 for 1 row (up to 5 people) or 2 rows (up to 10 people). \n

SUMMARY:Buena Vista Farm Tour
DESCRIPTION:Start with a brief chat outlining the history of farming in the area\, the organic and regenerative agricultural practices used and about living and working on a modern small-scale sustainable farm. \nSee all the animal systems including laying hens\, heritage hens\, meat chickens\, honey bees\, ducks and our beloved dairy goats and kids. There are multiple gardens to visit: a kitchen garden overlooking the sea\, a medicinal herb garden\, a commercial market garden (currently in transition to an avocado orchard!) and a coffee grove of 100 established coffee trees. \nTake a tour of the dairy\, look in the window of the cheeseroom and spend some time playing with the goats. You’ll finish with a product tasting and there will be an opportunity to purchase farm-made and grown products at the end of the tour if you’re interested. \nFarm tours run from 10am until 12pm. \nBookings are essential.
