Join us as we leave our kitchens to play with food in a whole new context: Project Contemporary Gallery.\n———\n TASTY TALKS\nIn collaboration with Healthy Cities Illawarra we’re bringing together a panel of interesting humans to chat about building food resilience in our communities. Hear insights from those actively contributing to building a stronger local food system\, and explore what is needed to make things better now and in the future.\nWe are over the moon to welcome:\n Dr Amy Carrad\nA researcher\, sustainability-doer and “waste not” home chef that has been exploring the important intersection of community-based initiatives and government policy.\n Berbel Franse\nFounder of Hidden Harvest\, Coordinator of community coalition Food Fairness Illawarra and driver behind the recently launched Wollongong Online Farmers Market\, Berbel is a passionate advocate for a fairer\, more resilient food system.\n Cliodhna Maquire\nA First Nations Community Greening Officer\, Youth Engagement advocate and Gamalaraay woman who visits schools and communities across NSW to establish native gardens\, productive food gardens and biodiverse green spaces.\n​ Sarah Anderson\nFounder and head gardener of Popes Produce and Director at the Flame Tree Community Food Co-op\, Sarah blends a background of organic food retail\, visual arts and hospitality to encourage people to enjoy fresh\, happy food.\n Rod Logan\nMarket Garden Coordinator at Green Connect and one of the drivers behind the Woonona Community Garden bringing fresh insights into organic commercial gardening.\n​\n———\n GOURMET TOASTIES\nHidden Harvest’s art happens in the kitchen: we transform would-be wasted produce into gourmet toasties for your eating pleasure! Our toasties are made with love\, and each serving helps us change waste into taste. Vegan & Vegetarian options available.\n———\n FRESH TINNIES\nLocal gin connoisseurs Births & Deaths have teamed up with South Coast Distillery to create a delicious gin tinnie for your sippin’ pleasure: Citriodora Explora. Bursting with notes of Lemon Myrtle\, it’ll freshen your Sunday right up. We’ll also have non-alcoholic tinnies available.\n———\n $30 TICKETS\nYour ticket will get you a toastie\, a tinnie and a seat for the talk!
