SUMMARY:Global Climate Change Week 2022
DESCRIPTION:Global Climate Change Week (GCCW) aims to encourage academic communities – including academics\, students\, and professional staff at universities and their local municipalities – to contribute more to ensuring that these needs are met. \nThere is an urgent need to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases much more quickly than is currently projected. There is also an urgent need to adapt to the global warming that can’t now be prevented\, and especially for rich countries to help other countries to adapt and develop in low carbon ways. \nCore Events: 12 – 18 October 2022\nThere are many workshops and exhibitions that will be held across the world. \nWollongong: \nThe ‘Antarctic Futures’ art exhibition will be on display in the UOW Gallery\, in the Jillian Broadbent Building (Building 29)\, from Monday to Wednesday\, 10am to 4pm. It will run from 18 August to 19 October 2022. DESCRIPTION:A Feast to raise funds for Pocket City Farms 2023 Farm Incubator program – Growing the Farmers of the Future\nPocket City Farms an Urban Farm in Sydney will host a Community Feast dinner to raise money to support their 2023 Farm Incubator Program\, a 12 month program that trains young farmers across all seasons and farm tasks. All funds raised will go directly to helping us grow the farmers of the future. \nThe team of community chefs\, lead by the wonderful Yukako from Wafu\, will be on site cooking up a feast and  Young Henry’s is on board as the sponsor. \nIt is sure to be a night of great food\, drinks\, conversation and fun. Tickets are $50 including dinner and your first drink or $450 for a table of 10.
