With a focus on strengths-based, actionable solutions, our keynote speakers and guests will discuss topics such as:

  • VicHealth’s work and commitment to health equity
  • commercial drivers of nutrition equity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
  • local government actions to address inequities in diets
  • reducing inequities in rural diets
  • including priority populations’ voices in food policy.

Guest speakers and panellists include:

  • Dr Sandro Demaio (VicHealth)
  • Dheepa Jeyapalan (VicHealth)

There’ll be a series of informative and thought-provoking presentations and panel discussion, plus one of 2 breakout sessions for in person attendees including:

  • a yarning circle on cultural safety and reflexivity for food policy, or
  • a session to explore how an understanding of lived experiences can help inform research, policy and practice.
