Join us for an inspiring, encouraging and nourishing evening among other fair food champions. Together we will explore how we can make our food systems more sustainable, stronger and resilient to shocks, supporting biodiversity and combating climate change.
This year’s event will feature a fair food market from 4:30pm – 7pm, with delicious food, local produce, cooking demonstrations, live music, art and more. We’re currently inviting stallholders who fit the fair food theme to express their interest in joining this exciting market event, via our EOI.
Following the market, a ticketed event will be held in the auditorium from 7pm – 9pm. This event will focus on regenerative agriculture with Charles Massey (author of the Call of the Reed Warbler) as the key-note speaker, a welcome to country by Jodi Edwards and feature local producers Fiona Weir Walmsley and Adam Walmsley from Buena Vista Farm, Lynne Strong from Action for Agriculture, and Rod Logan from Green Connect /Woonona Community Garden
This annual event has been organised by Food Fairness Illawarra since 2016, with support from Shellharbour City Council, Wollongong City Council, Kiama Municipal Council, Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District, University of Wollongong and Healthy Cities Illawarra.
Tickets will be launched shortly, so keep your eyes peeled and save the date!
