Dr Crystal Arnold is a Gundungurra woman, researcher and academic, whose work explores the deep relationships between people, plants, animals, and Country. On this day, Crystal will share stories and reflections from her research on Dharawal, Yuin and Gundungurra Countries, exploring how beings like weeds, Lyrebirds, and mountains such as Djeera (Mount Keira) are our teachers when we take the time to listen.

Drawing on Indigenous knowledge systems and more-than-human geographies, Crystal will guide us through a way of seeing plants, animals and elements, water and fire, as messengers; showing us how healing can begin. Through yarning, she invites both children and adults to see the world differently; to see trees as kin, weeds as guides, and birds as storytellers of place.
